Your role

The SecuTix 360° ticketing solution is a global integrated software suite, which has been developed for professionals in the fields of entertainment, leisure, and events, who wish to expand their offering and revenue but also to excel in managing their customer relationship.

During large online ticket sales, bot detection is increasingly important for our clients. In addition to protecting the system from an unsustainable load, excluding robots also helps restrict the black market and results in a fairer sales process. Robot-generated sales and users also pollute customer data, affecting marketing campaigns and other BI analysis. In this context, the aim of this internship is to design and implement a real-time user-specific “robot index”, recording the likelihood a given user is a robot. In addition, we will look at providing a real-time interface for monitoring live sales and taking relevant operational actions.

Objectives:

  • Assess current state-of-the-art techniques for detecting internet robot activity and applicability to the ticketing business (machine learning, other data analysis tools)

  • Design and integrate a robot index tracking on the Secutix internet sales channels

  • For use during live ticket sales, design and implement a real-time interface for monitoring the current robot activity and taking actions against identified threats.

  • Run system load tests to validate the result.
