Your role

ELCA Security provides cyber security services and solutions across Switzerland and our customers cover the whole spectrum of the economic sectors.

You will join our professional services team for the successful delivery of our projects, to enhance the security of the systems we develop and to support the service’s strategic expansion

As a Senior Cryptography Engineer, you will be responsible for the following activities:

  • Design and conceive security solutions for IT systems and software projects
  • Contribute to innovative projects such as based on distributed ledger/blockchain solutions
  • Develop security functions and algorithms for project
  • Perform threat modelling and risk analysis for complex customer and complex systems
  • Develop security and cryptographic best practices and standards to be use by the whole company and for our Customers
  • Assist development projects as security officer of the project
  • Act as SME for cryptographic questions, whether it be for ELCA or its customers
  • Contribute to innovation initiatives of ELCA
  • Engage in presales activities

Your profile

  • 5 Years of experience or a Msc in a domain related to cryptography
  • IT experience, knowledge and skills (Software Engineering, ICT systems engineering, etc.)
  • Experience/knowledge in multiple of the following topics:
    • Cryptographic algorithms and security functions
    • Blockchain and distributed ledger solutions
    • Integration of HSM products, Vaults, or MPC solutions
    • Good understanding of private/trusted computing
    • Symmetrical and asymmetrical key management (PKI)
    • Authentication and encryption protocols (TLS, SSH, Kerberos, OAuth, OpenID Connect)
    • Standards such as PKCS 11, X.509, NIST, FIPS 140
    • Threat modelling
  • Ability to design systems with a hands-on approach and make architectural proposals and decisions
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Open and Proactive mindset (critical thinking and problem solver oriented)
  • Interpersonal and communication skills
  • Agility, a strong sense of commitment and the discipline to focus
  • Languages: English (fluent) and French or German (fluent), two Swiss official languages are a plus
  • Cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, OSCP or CISA are a plus
